The performance of an embedded system depends largely on its user environment. Using a high-performance file system can speed up virtually any storage media, and for raw flash memory, a professional flash manager can also contribute significantly to overall system performance.  For our tests we used raw flash to represent the software managed group and an SD Card to represent the hardware managed group.
