Embedded World 2019 - Class Dismissed

Posted by: Thom Denholm

Once again, we met with partners and customers at Embedded World in 2019, and for the 8th straight year, we were located in the booth of our partner, Logic Technology.

The final numbers haven't been released for the 18th Embedded World conference, but the attendance felt down from previous years. A one-hour premature closing announcement on Wednesday didn't help. Additionally, unseasonably nice weather on Thursday may have led many of the students to play hooky (or schwänzen).

Automotive was a major focus again this year, and to increase the realism, they have added backseat drivers.

Outside the show floor was the conference center, with more than 2100 participants and speakers from many different countries. While we didn't speak this year, I did get a cameo appearance in the "Official Daily" newspaper of Embedded World. New topics will be submitted for the 2020 show, and I once again look forward to sharing Datalight expertise with designers and students - weather permitting.

All in all, another great show, and very much looking forward to next year.

If you haven't subscribed to our blog yet, be sure to fill out the form in the corner. We are working on some cool stuff this year, and it will be posted here first!
