Roy Sherrill, CEO and President
  
With more than 28 years of experience in the embedded software industry, Roy is a regular speaker at industry forums such as the Embedded Systems Conference, Flash Memory Summit, and Storage Visions, and is active in the Vistage executive leadership organization.  Prior to founding Datalight in 1983, Roy was an engineer at the Boeing Corporation, where he developed software tools for the B1 Bomber.   Roy then went on to research and develop prototype multi-processor operating system for the Advanced Tactical Fighter. Roy holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Roy Sherrill
   
Ken Whitaker, Director of Engineering
  

Ken has over 25 years of software development leadership experience in a variety of technology roles and industries ranging from shrink wrap, enterprise, to embedded markets. At Datalight, Ken leads the engineering, QA, technical support, and project management functions. He has degrees in Mathematics and Fine Arts from James Madison University and advanced Computer Science coursework towards a Masters degree from Virginia Polytechnic University (Virginia Tech).

Ken is an active PMI® member, Project Management Professional (PMP)® certified, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Ken is a frequent presenter at industry events and has authored two books: “Managing Software Maniacs” and “Principles of Software Development Leadership.”

Kerri McConnell, Director of Sales & Marketing
 

Kerri has over two decades of technology marketing and product management experience. Currently Kerri directs Sales & Marketing at Datalight, the leader in software technologies for risk-free mobile data storage.

Prior to Datalight, she spent 15 years at Adobe Systems where she was responsible for bringing to market over a dozen award winning products with revenues in excess of $25 million. Kerri excels in translating technical topics into laymen’s terms and putting a business benefit spin on product features. In addition to her technology experience, Kerri has founded and run her own retail, consulting and service businesses. She also serves as on the Board of Trustees for The Mountaineers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on environmental stewardship, conservation and education.

 Kerri McConnell
